My name is Ryan Dervin, and I consider myself lucky because at the tender age of five I knew what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. The adrenaline rush of the stage continues to call me, and I have now been performing for the last 23 years. I have had the fortune of a wide variety of opportunities, including dancing on NBC’s “This Is Us” and performing in the national tour of “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer”, the musical.
I have never wanted to do or be one thing for the rest of my life. That’s the great part of being in the entertainment industry. I can have the opportunity to do anything from dancing on a cruise ship to singing in a musical, or even developing a character for film and television. Whether it’s dancing, singing, or acting, I have always been at my happiest when I get to perform.
I have recently expanded my horizons and have had the pleasure of getting to choreograph for different projects when I am not performing myself. I also enjoy making pizza for friends and family (because who doesn’t love a Friday night pizza?). And as cheesy as it may sound, a life goal of mine is to one day make it to the Broadway stage.
